On June 11, 1966, an auto accident took the life of Bette Yearian, a member of the Class of '67.  Bette came to Dixon as a sophomore, and participated in many DHS activities.  Her academic achievement gained the respect of the entire faculty and student body.  A winning personality and a ready smile won Bette the friendship of all who came in contact with her.  Her death was a loss deeply felt by the students of Dixon High School.
