I attended St. Mary's Grade School with Jim as well as DHS, and I remember him as a very good guy. We played on the same summer baseball team and did basketball and track together at Saint Mary's too; his dad was one of our coaches, if memory serves. Jim was a steady friend, with a quick smile and an easy manner. A good person. I will remember Jim and his brother Dick fondly. I feel lucky to have known them both.
